Colleen, President, has had over twenty-five years of business experience in Canada and in the U.S. Prior to establishing Watson · Gardner · Brown, she held management positions at a major Canadian Bank, an International Credit Card Company and a pre-eminent Canadian Investment Firm. As a Partner at the Investment Firm, she was Vice-President and Director - Human Resources and a member of the Senior Planning Committee. During her five years with the Investment Firm, she was instrumental in staffing numerous key administration and production positions, developing cost-effective recruitment strategies and reducing the overall costs per hire.
Colleen brings a strong client perspective with her extensive experience and understanding of the Financial Services Industry. Over the last fourteen years, Colleen has handled a range of search assignments in Canada and Internationally at the Executive Senior Management level. These assignments have covered most functional areas within the Financial Services Industry.
Colleen has a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Manitoba and is a graduate of the General Management Program from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts. Colleen has completed the Canadian Securities, Registered Representative, Partners, Directors and Officer Accreditations. She has been guest speaker at various conferences, seminars and is Past Chairperson for the Investment Dealers Association Compensation Committee.
Angela, Partner, is a dynamic senior leader with diverse and in-depth experience spanning over twenty years in financial services and consulting organizations. Over the years, Angela has crafted Human Resources initiatives in support of corporate strategic direction for both multinational and entrepreneurial companies which include Canada Trust, Deutsche Bank Canada and Burns Fry.
With two decades of experience in the personal development and change management field, Angela executes Human Resources strategy with breadth and depth. Through her work with some of Canada’s pre-eminent business leaders and executive teams, she has also established a reputation as a consultant who can implement a vision that delivers excellent results to any corporate culture. She has spent several years with lead career transition corporations such as Felix Global and Peat Marwick Stevenson Kellogg in career transition and executive recruiting.
As the head of Human Resources for CT Securities she was part of the strategy that grew the company’s assets from $600 million to $2 billion. As Vice President and Director for Deutsche Bank Canada she played a pivotal role in integrating an organization that tripled in size. During her seven years at Burns Fry, Angela cultivated strategic training initiatives and creative hiring practices that positively impacted employee development and the bottom line for the company.
Angela holds a Bachelor or Arts degree in social sciences from the University of Western Ontario. Through the University of Toronto’s Executive Development Programs, she became a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP designation). In addition she has earned an accreditation in Advanced Management of Strategic Change. She is also a member of Women in Capital Markets.
